How long does it take to lose weight?

Do you catch yourself daydreaming about summer?

After this long cold period of temperatures below the average I think everybody is more than ready for spring to fully unfold.

And then summer please!

And as you might plan for warmer times, holidays and summery things to do, are you also planning to fit into x clothes again? To be in a good shape?

But how long does it take you ask, to lose those unwanted inches?

When I’m getting this questions asked, most people mean actually: “How long does it take to see a difference VISUALLY?”

So let’s cut to the chase.

How does about 8 weeks sound?

Hang on, is it that easy?

Yea surly …not. Let me explain why it would be wrong and potentially dangerous to say anything but “it depends”.

First of all let’s clear the table from all quick fixes and fad diets, from anything that doesn’t focus on the wholesome approach of combining training and nutrition to gain results.

So good bye rebound weight gain – here come long lasting changes.
(Believe me I never get tired of cutting through the noise!! 🙂 )

Ok, say we get the right amount of fuel (nutrition) and exercise in, one thing usually happens within a couple of days which is the body de-bloating.

This happens due to changes in nutrition (replacing processed and refined foods especially carbs with healthier alternatives)

This is a great motivator and can make people feel very euphoric but it’s important to stick with it.

Another thing to consider is that you absolutely SHOULD increase muscle strength as you lose weight.

This is what so many fad diets get completely wrong and they leave you starved which results in burning muscle mass and leaving you weak and in bad shape.

That’s why training and nutrition are truly BFFs.

But what does it mean when you increase muscle mass as you lose weight?

Right, you might not see such a big visual difference.

Or you might see it in some areas more than others.

Also no training regime works the same for two people because we are all different in our needs and abilities.

It depends.

So after all, can it work in 8 weeks?

There is a very good chance you will see a difference and you WILL absolutely feel it.

In the end it’s up to you….

It all depends on your commitment (What does it mean to you to reach goals? How would you live your life differently if you reached your goals?) and guidance – which is basically our job.

Ideally the first 8 weeks are only the start to your new lifestyle, your healthy and precious life.
